Service Through Missions

Here at Pinkney, we have a very active WMU (Women's Missionary Union). Our ladies meet once a month at various members' homes or at the church.  During meetings, the ladies have a devotion/study and plan missions projects.  Below you can read about several projects.

At Pinkney Missionary Baptist Church, we strive to live up to our name, "Missionary".  We support missions in a variety of ways.  The annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering are just two of the missions we support.  Funds that are raised during these offerings support missionaries who are serving the Lord in foreign countries as well as in our own.

Our youth look forward to packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child each November.  Our youth have taken ownership of this church project by purchasing items, packing boxes, and delivering them to the drop-off location.  Our children are learning to share God's blessings with others through this rewarding experience.

We also believe in ministering to the local needs of our community.  We currently sponsor a Backpack Ministry at a local school.  We fill backpacks with food each Friday for families who are in need.  Students simply pick up their filled bags on Fridays, and return the empty bag on Monday.  God has truly blessed us through this ministry.

We continue to share God through helping others.
